Beam Threaded Labret Earring - Diamond in 14k White Gold (Single)

I purchased two to use as the second earring on my ear lobes. This earring is dainty, super cute, and very comfortable! These are sold in store as an earring used for new piercings. That works out for me because I rarely take off my jewelry (not great I know), so the solid gold is just what I was looking for. I've only had them for a week but so far so good! My only complaint is the screw-on mechanism. I love that it makes it very secure so it will never fall out. But wow, it's incredibly hard to take on and off (gave up after 30 min and asked my partner to help me 😅). The diamond is embedded into the tiniest screw, and you have to carefully angle and screw it into a tiny tiny hole on the stick of the earring backing. I've had no problem with screw-on barbell earrings, but I realized after I purchased that the screwing mechanism on barbells are much easier because 1) the backside of the barbell earrings are ball shaped (vs flat back on these earrings) so it is easier to hold on to while screwing on the front and 2) the screw mechanism on barbells is reversed compared to this earring (the hole is on the ball in front and the screw was the stick part of the earring) which means there's much less fine tune angling you have to do for an area that's hard to see on yourself. To me, the cons outweigh the pros for the screw-on mechanism and I wish it was scrapped entirely. I've had beam threaded earrings that were just stick-in-hole instead of screw-in-hole that are plenty secure enough. Maybe I just need a little more practice. Tl:dr extremely cute and high quality, but very hard to take on and off because of the screw on mechanism. I love this earring and have no regrets because I hardly ever take off my jewelry. This was my first purchase from Curious Creatures, and I would definitely come back for their other cute designs and good quality.
