Balance is critical in ear curation. While symmetrical arrangements offer a classic and polished look, asymmetrical designs can create a more avant-garde and personalized aesthetic.
Consider the overall shape and structure of the ear, as well as piercing placements to ensure that the weight and distribution of earrings are balanced. Sometimes balanced does not mean stacking your earrings in a cascading fashion, but seeing an overall aesthetic balance.
For example, a bold statement earring on one lobe can be balanced with a cluster of smaller studs on the opposite ear. Or, a dangling earring can be placed at the higher lobe instead of the lowest part. Play around, have fun while you're at it!
